Dutch Mayor Apologizes for Remark About Putin's Daughter

The mayor of the Dutch city of Hilversum, where the bodies of 40 Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 victims were taken, apologized Wednesday for suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin's daughter could be deported from the Netherlands. There are reports that Maria Putin, 29, lives in Holland with her Dutch boyfriend. Mayor Pieter Broertjes tweeted that his remark "was not wise" and was an emotional response to the tragedy.
