DA: Fatal Stabbing Suspect Turns Himself In

Authorities say a Massachusetts man has turned himself in to police custody after he was announced as a suspect in a fatal stabbing over the weekend.

Twenty-nine-year-old Fall River resident Adam Conners will be arraigned on Monday on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in connection with 39-year-old Joseph Reading's stabbing death on Saturday, according to the Bristol district attorney's office.

Fall River police say Reading was found by responding officers in the driver's seat of his crashed vehicle at about 11:30 p.m., bleeding and unresponsive.

He was taken to St. Anne's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police discovered he had earlier attended a gathering where he was involved in an altercation, where he was stabbed, according to investigators.

It's unclear if Conners has an attorney.
