See It: ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' Trailer Released

The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Jude Law and Johnny Depp

Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston and Johnny Depp are back in "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald."

In a newly-released trailer, we pick up where the last film left off, where dark wizard Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by the Magical Congress of the United States of America with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But Grindelwald escapes custody and sets about gathering followers, most unaware of his true plan to raise pure-blood wizards to rule over non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Redmayne, Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, with Law and Depp. The cast also includes, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech. The film is directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling.

The film is slated to be released Nov. 16, 2018.
