Brrr! Farmers' Almanac Says New England to Face ‘Polar Coaster' of Winter

New Englanders should brace for a long, cold winter — at least according to the Farmers' Almanac.

Peter Geiger, the publisher of the Farmers' Almanac, told News Center Maine on Monday that the northeast would face a "polar coaster" of a winter, with plenty of chills expected.

That means colder-than-normal temps may be in store for us as well as another sluggish start to spring.

Geiger told News Center Maine that New Englanders should expect wintry mixes to fall over the region frequently. The last week of January is expected to be the coldest of the season, according to the publication.
