Fatal Early Morning Crash in Kingston Leaves One Dead

A sixty-six-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in Kingston when he lost control of his motorcyle, Massachusetts State Police announced in a statement.

Richard Papp of Taunton was driving on Route 3 North near exit 8 when he reportedly lost control while driving on uneven pavement, causing him to be thrown from his bike and land in the road. He was then struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of that car, a 31-year-old Plymouth man, stayed at the scene and has not been charged in the incident.

Personnel from the Kingston Fire and EMS service and MassDOT assisted at the scene of the crash. Papp was transported to Beth Israel Plymouth Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police.
