Federal agents were conducting a search at a storage facility in Quincy, Massachusetts Monday.
Members of the FBI’s Hazardous Evidence Response Team and Weapons of Mass Destruction Unit were conducting a "court-authorized activity" at the Extra Storage Facility on Liberty Street. They were at the scene for about 11 hours before wrapping up Monday night.
An FBI spokesperson said there was no threat to public safety, but did not provide further details.
"I certainly didn't expect it to be this interesting, but it is very interesting," said Anita Harris, a storage customer.
Harris had swung by to pick up some items from her storage unit but quickly realized she would have to wait.
"I was shocked that there was this much activity going on. That was shocking. Clearly, somebody's intent on finding something," she said.

Another customer pointed to the fact that "everything is on camera" at the facility.
"There's all types of cameras here. There's cameras on the building, there's cameras inside the building," storage customer David Aristide said. "It's generally business as usual, but who knows if there's some wrongdoing?"
A representative from Extra Space Storage issued a statement saying the company was cooperating with the investigation and that the safety of their facilities "is a top priority."
"Out of an abundance of caution, we've been asked to not allow customers access to the site. Customers can visit extraspace.com where we will be posting real-time updates on the site access status," read a statement from Corporate Communications Manager McKall Morris.
