Authorities are responding to the scene of a fire in Boston's North End neighborhood.
According to the Boston Fire Department, they are responding to Trattoria Il Panino at 280 Hanover Street for a kitchen fire on the first floor of a five-story building at 5:50 p.m. Saturday.
As of 6:15 p.m., the fire had been knocked down.
There are apartments in the stories above the restaurant, but they are currently vacant as the building undergoes renovations, officials said.
A second alarm has been ordered.
