A fire tore through a commercial building Tuesday in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Heavy smoke was engulfing the building at 1090 Main Street, near Webster Square, as fighters attempted to knock down the fire, which broke out around 11 a.m. A cellphone repair shop and an auto repair shop are among the businesses that were impacted.

The fire reached four alarms.

Firefighters say when they arrived, there was extremely heavy fire inside the building, so they had to attack it from the outside.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury.

After the investigation is complete, the remains of the building are expected to be hauled away.
