3 Dogs Killed in House Fire in Norwich

Three dogs died when fire broke out at a home in Norwich on Tuesday evening. 

Norwich firefighters responded to the structure fire at 160 West Thames St. just after 7 p.m.

City of Norwich Fire Chief Kenneth Scandariato reported that no people were injured, but three dogs died as a result of the fire and one person was displaced. 

Mutual aid fire departments from Mohegan Tribe, East Great Plain and Laurel Hill were called into the scene to assist. 

The Norwich fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
