Curtis L. Blake, the founder of Friendly's Ice Cream, has died at the age of 102. His obituary ran in the Boston Globe Sunday.
Blake died in his Florida home on Friday, according to the Globe. He opened his first ice cream shop in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1935, during the Great Depression, with his brother Prestley.
