Google Tips Police Off to Man Downloading Child Porn: Police

Police arrested a West Haven man on child pornography charges after Google alerted them that he was downloading porn to a Gmail account, according to police.

Google contacted West Haven Police in September, which led to local police working with State Police and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to identify Christopher Creta, 35, of West Haven, as the suspect.

Police investigated and said they found several pictures of girls between 6 and 12 years old performing lewd acts on men or posing with exposed genitals.

Creta was arrested and charged with illegal possession of child pornography.

He was held on $25,000 bond.

His family says Creta suffers from mental illness. It’s not clear if he has an attorney.
