The state's COVID-19 positivity rate decreased to 2.04% and more than 1 million residents are now fully vaccinated against the virus.
Hospitalizations now hover right over the 500 mark at 505. There was a decrease of 13 since Wednesday.
An additional six people have died of COVID-related complications. The death toll is now 7,990.
Of over 34,000 coronavirus tests performed, 702 came back positive.

On Wednesday, the positivity rate in Connecticut was 4.41 percent.
The southwest corner of the state has a higher positivity rate than other areas across Connecticut. The governor said this may be related to the spread of the New York COVID-19 strain.
State officials said the town with the highest transmission rate is Waterbury. Gov. Ned Lamont said the town is seeing percentages almost twice as high as what other towns in eastern Connecticut are seeing.

Over 1 Million Residents Now Fully Vaccinated
The state of Connecticut said a total of 1,037,446 people are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Below is a breakdown of percentages of people getting vaccinated:
- 65 and up: 87%
- 55 to 64: 73%
- 45 to 54: 56%
- 16 to 44: 34%
- 16 and up: 55%
Lamont said there is still a continued strong demand to get the vaccine across all age groups.
The governor said mobile vaccination vans are going to the Naugatuck area in an effort to vaccinate more folks. He said the pause in Johnson & Johnson vaccine distribution has not had a large impact on mobile vaccine units.
"I don't want to see any vaccine left at the end of the day. It's really important," Lamont said in a press conference Thursday.
One of the towns in Connecticut with the highest vaccination rate is Old Lyme, which has 75% of all residents vaccinated. Lamont says they are very close to herd immunity and he hopes other towns will follow by example.
