We had a beautiful crisp fall day on this Friday the 13th. The harvest moon will rise just after 7 p.m. and will be officially full just after midnight. Temperatures dip to the 50s and 60s with increasing clouds overnight.
Clouds will rule most of the day on Saturday as we get a south breeze and milder temperatures. A few scattered showers roll through northern New England, then sink towards southern New England by late afternoon and evening.
We're not expecting a washout, so don't cancel any outdoor plans.
The warming trend continues into Sunday with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. The showers taper off from north to south early Sunday. Lingering clouds and a couple sprinkles will begin the day on Cape Cod, then we clear by afternoon.
Another shortwave moves through for Monday afternoon, bringing more shower chances through and a cool-down. Highs reach the low 70s on Monday, but by Tuesday we will only be in the upper 60s.
High pressure settles in Tuesday through possibly next Friday. Our temperatures gradually warm and will return to the mid-80s by Friday into possibly some of next weekend.

A strong area of high pressure may keep soon-to-be Humberto well south of New England and that means a mainly dry forecast for us, other than a weak cold front sweeping through next weekend. However, we will still watch the latest forecast updates closely as this is still many days away.
