New Haven police are looking for the person behind some disturbing vandalism after finding hate symbols on buildings that house an Indian restaurant and an immigration office, as well as a police station and elderly housing on Eastern Street.
Police responded to 405 Foxon Boulevard, which includes an Indian restaurant, an immigration and tax office, just before 9 a.m. Monday after receiving a report of vandalism.
All the windows on the first floor and the glass doors were shattered, police said. The vandal also left swastikas and anti-police markings on a painted wooden fence and there was an obscene illustration depicting Gov. Dannel Malloy and former Tulsa, Oklahoma police officer, Betty Shelby, according to police.
