Indiana Man Charged with Making Threats Directed at Boston Free Speech Rally

An Indiana man is facing charges in connection with posting a threat directed at the Boston Free Speech Rally last August.

Eric M. Radulovic, 32, of Indianapolis was arrested and indicted on one count of transmitting in interstate and foreign commerce a threat to injury the person of another. He'll appear in federal court in Indiana on Friday and in Boston on June 20.

Radulovic allegedly posted to the online message board "4chan.org" the day after the violent rally in Charlottesville, Virginia and posed as a member of the "alt-right," or white supremacist movement, saying that he would be shooting white people at the Boston Rally in order to gain sympathy for the alt-right movement.

"I'm going to bring a Remington 700 and start shooting Alt-right guys," Radulovic allegedly wrote. "We need sympathy after that landwhale got all the liberals teary eyed, so someone is going to have to make it look like the left is becoming more violent and radicalized. it's a false flag for sure, but I'll be aiming for the more tanned/dark haired muddied jeans in the crowd so real white won't have to worry."

Radulovic was referring to the death of Heather Heyer, who was hit and killed by a vehicle while protesting alt-right supporters in Charlottesville. The alleged driver, James Alex Fields Jr., pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including first-degree murder, and will face a jury starting Nov. 26.

The indictment alleges that Radulovic posted this for the purpose of issuing a threat and knowing it would be interpreted as such.

Radulovic allegedly responded to a post promoting the Boston Free Speech Rally, which invited "libertarians, conservatives, traditionalists, classical liberals, Trump supporters or anyone else who enjoys their right to free speech" to attend, "network, befriend others who share your views, come for good food and come to stand up against ANTIFA terrorism."

Radulovic faces up to five years in prison if convicted. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
