NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND

Jacket Weather Tonight, Rain Monday

Expect seasonable temperatures all week

What to Know

  • Bring a jacket tonight if you're going to either the Pats or the Sox game as temperatures will drop into the 40s.
  • Showers move in tomorrow - starting as sprinkles in the morning - but turning into widespread showers in time for the evening commute.
  • Sun returns on Tuesday with a slight chance of showers. Expect seasonable temperatures for the foreseeable future.

A frosty start to our Sunday with temperatures dropping into the low 30s across inland locations and 40s near the coast. High pressure in control today will provide a beautiful fall weather day with filtered sunshine and highs around 60. Both games this evening will stay dry but a jacket may be needed with temperatures in the upper 40s.

By tonight, the wind will shift to the west southwest and clouds will keep us from cooling off quickly so lows will stay in the 40s.

On Monday, showers return to our forecast as a cold front approaches from the west- a sprinkle or two is possible during the morning drive but widespread showers will impact our evening commute. Highs on Monday will be in the 60s - the mildest day of the week.

Behind this front, drier air filters in and mostly sunny conditions return on Tuesday, this fair weather pattern stays with us all week long even though there is a slight chance of a spot shower and even some sleet across Northern New England on Wednesday, as a secondary front moves through the region.

This front will drop our temperatures significantly on Thursday with highs struggling to make it to 50 degrees.

Our exclusive 10-day forecast indicates a chance for showers next weekend. Still too early to tell how much rain and how much of the weekend looks damp. Stay tuned!
