Jamaica Plain Fire Causes $500K in Damages, Displaces 1

All residents were safely evacuated.

A fire in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood has caused an estimated $500,000 worth of damage and displaced one resident.

According to the Boston Fire Department, they were called to a building fire at 55 Delle Avenue around 2 p.m. Sunday.

The fire was coming from the third floor of a three-story single family attached house. The fire was knocked down, but it burned on the third floor and through the roof, fire officials said.

All residents were safely evacuated.

One resident was displaced by the fire, and officials estimate the damages to be approximately $500,000.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
