Lawrence Woman In Hospice Care Forced to Leave Home After Blasts

Debra Mordente has lived in her home in Lawrence for 20 years. And now living in hospice care following a brain cancer diagnosis just two months ago, she says all she wants is to spend her final days here.

But after the gas explosions that rocked the Merrimack Valley last week, she has had to move.

"Because of someone's negligency, incompetence, or whatever it was -- someone made a mistake somewhere and my mother lost her dying wish," said daughter Penny Young.

The family is currently staying at Hospice Haverhill, but they would give anything to come back home.
