Massachusetts Firefighter Dies in ATV Accident Near His Home

Randy Pouliot served 16 years with the Leominster Fire Department

A Massachusetts firefighter died in an ATV accident over the weekend, according to a local fire fighters union.

“The Chief of the Department regrets to announce the death of firefighter Randy Pouliot, Group 1, Engine 3, Driver,” a statement read on the Leominster Fire Fighters Local 1841 IAFF Facebook page.

Leominster firefighter Randy Pouliot was involved in a fatal accident near his home in the Gardner, Ashburnham area on Saturday night. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The Leominster Fire Department would like to thank the Firefighters, EMS Personnel and Police Officers who responded to the scene and cared for Randy,” the Facebook post read. “Thank you also, to all who have reached out to our members with their condolences.”

Pouliot served 16 years with the Leominster Fire Department and was previously employed by the Gardner Fire Department.

No other details on the fatal accident were immediately available.
