Lookie Here–It's a “Jane Eyre” Trailer

Mia Wasikowska is the latest actress to take on the title role of "Jane Eyre," a film that has just dropped its first trailer.

Wasikowska, who's already enjoyed a breakout year with roles in "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Kids Are All Right," plays Jane, the young heroine of Charlotte Bronte's most famous novel, an ahead-of-its-time social critique about a young woman who grows up poor, works as a governess and ultimately finds love with a wealthy man.

Directed by Cary Fukunaga, who won Best Director for at Sundance 2009 for "Sin Nombre," the film also stars Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell, Judi Dench, Sally Hawkins and Imogen Poots.

When news of this project first broke, we were skeptical, 'cuz really, how many "Jane Eyre"s do we need? But we have to admit, the trailer looks delightfully Gothic and overwrought, and the cast is stellar.

"Jane Eyre" opens March 11, 2011.
