Man Arrested in Dorchester on Gun, Traffic Charges

One man is under arrest on firearm and motor vehicle charges after a traffic stop in Dorchester on Saturday night.

Maxime Richardson, 35, was stopped near 50 Rockwell St. in Dorchester around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday and is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device and operating a motor vehicle after suspension or revocation.

The arresting officers pulled Richardson over for a series of traffic violations, upon which time they learned he did not possess a valid driver's license. They then discovered a loaded 9mm Glock in the car, at which point Richardson was placed under arrest.

The suspect is set to appear in Dorchester District Court this week. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
