East Windsor police have arrested and charged a local man with murdering his 73-year-old father last month.
Police arrested 40-year-old Gabriel Hesse at his home on South Main Street around 7 p.m. Friday.
The arrest comes after police said a family member became concerned when he could not reach 73-year-old Halsey Hesse Jr. by phone and found him dead in the kitchen of his home on Fairway Drive on Oct. 9.
Halsey Hesse Jr. had several stab wounds and investigators initially said the circumstances surrounding the death were suspicious.
Gabriel Hesse is being held on a $2 million bond and is set to be arraigned in Enfield Superior Court on Monday.
