Man Charged With Murder in Fatal Dorchester Shooting

An arrest has been made in connection to a fatal shooting on Tuesday in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.

Shakeem McNeill, 28, of Brockton, Massachusetts, is charged with murder for the fatal shooting, according to the Boston Police Department. Police said he was taken into custody in Brockton around 3 a.m.

He was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Wednesday in Dorchester Municipal Court and his next hearing is scheduled for June 18. He is being represented by attorney Elliot Levine.

Officials received a call for a shooting at 8:42 p.m. Tuesday and responded to the area of 95 Millet St. There, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Authorities said they believe the shooting was a targeted attack.

Officials have not released the victim's name.
