A man has died from a medical emergency suffered while participating in a triathlon at Hopkinton State Park on Saturday.
Lifeguards spotted the man, in his 40s, and got him out of the water. EMS crews were on the scene and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of death is unavailable, but it was not a drowning, according to police.
The identification of the man has not been released.
