Man Gets 15 Years in Prison for Two Road Rage Shootings

A Rhode Island man who shot at other drivers in two separate highway road rage incidents has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Twenty-five-year-old Anthony Jackson was sentenced Thursday in Providence to 15 years in prison after pleading no contest to multiple firearms and assault charges.

Prosecutors say the first shooting happened July 25, 2017, when Jackson fired several shots from his SUV at another car on Route 146. Police say Jackson fired at another car in Providence in Oct. 2017. In both cases, no one was injured.

Police later determined bullets fired in both shootings matched a gun seized after an incident involving Jackson and the man dating his ex-girlfriend. Investigators say cellphone records linked Jackson to the highway shootings.
