Man Kicked Out of Florida Bar Lights Bouncer on Fire

A man is accused of tossing gasoline on a Florida bar bouncer and then lighting him on fire after being kicked out of the bar, police say.

The man had been paying with bounced checks at the Port St. Lucie bar and was told on Sunday night he would have to pay with cash or a debit card, Police Sgt. Frank Sabol told Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers. A short time later he was kicked out of Neely's Grog House.

Sabor says the man returned with a cup of gasoline and threw it on the bouncer who was standing at the door. The bouncer and his friend chased the man, and tackled him. The man lit the bouncer on fire and fled in a truck.

Police are searching for him.

The bouncer was taken to the hospital with serious burns.
