A man killed in a drive-by shooting in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Thursday evening has been identified.
Twenty-year-old Nike Colon was sitting in the front seat of a pickup truck at about 5 p.m. at the intersection of Washington and Shepherd streets when someone in a passing vehicle fired a shot, according to the Essex County District Attorney's office.
Colon was taken to City Hall on Summer Street by the driver, where firefighters administered first aid.
"I was hanging out in my bedroom. I heard five shots. I looked out the window, there was a white pickup truck driving by, had blood coming down the side of the passenger door," neighbor Bernie Chase said.
Colon was eventually taken to Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Ian Gonyer, a friend of Colon, is one of many shocked by the violence.
"It's crazy. It shouldn't happen like this," Gonyer said.

A memorial of flowers, candles, and other mementoes grew on Friday near the shooting scene — left by family and friends.
"This kid was just growing. He was starting to grow and we just lost a good kid," said Colon's friend, Jose Martinez. "I feel bad for the family too."
Police are still searching for the shooting suspect.
While the DA's office has not yet commented on a possible motive, the violence has shaken the community.
"We don't want other cases like this to happen with young children. He was only 20 years old," said Mirta Mejia with the Mount Washington Alliance, a neighborhood alliance in Haverhill.
Massachusetts State Police assigned to the DA's office are investigating alongside Haverhill Police.
