Authorities say the stabbing was a domestic incident.
"Whenever we have domestic violence issues we're affected by the community, the victim as well as the defendant," said one police officer.
One neighbor who saw the police activity said he didn't feel safe.
"I was hysterical when I looked out my window and saw the ambulance and cop cars," said the neighbor.
Other neighbors say they need to work together to build a better sense of community.
It's unclear whether anyone has been arrested.
