A Massachusetts woman is facing charges in New Hampshire after she allegedly overdosed in her minivan with her 4-year-old son in the back seat.
Manchester police said officers and firefighters responded to an overdose inside of a parked minivan that had keys in the ignition on Wilson Street just after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, where they found a woman with a hypodermic needle on her lap and a boy passed out in the back of the vehicle.
Investigators said the mother and son were inside of the vehicle that had its windows rolled up for about an hour as temperatures reached 86 degrees outside.
First responders used two doses of Narcan on the woman, later identified as 34-year-old Dracut resident Sara Donlon, as they treated her son.
Police found small bags of heroin and cocaine on Donlon, and she was arrested while her son was taken to a local hospital to be checked out. Her child was cleared and was released to his biological father.
Donlon was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail after being charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and endangering the welfare of a child. She's due in court on June 6. It's unclear if she has an attorney.
