Authorities are investigating the discovery of a man's body on the campus of Amherst College early Thursday morning.
According to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, the man has been tentatively identified, but his name will not be released until family has been notified. The official cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
No foul play is suspected and there are no concerns for public safety at this time.
Amherst College police, Amherst police, and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office are all investigating.
