Marco Rubio to Announce Foreign Policy “Doctrine”

Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio is set to unveil the foreign policy "doctrine" he would adapt if he wins the White House, according to excerpts from the speech he plans to deliver Wednesday afternoon in New York, NBC News reported. Rubio's proposed policy plan centers on three points: 1) "adequately" funding the U.S. military to project American power globally; 2) using U.S. power "to oppose any violations of international waters, airspace, cyberspace, our outerspace"; and 3) globally supporting "the spread of economic and political freedom." Rubio is set to deliver his speech at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City at 3:30 p.m. ET Wednesday.
