Marilyn Manson Injured by Giant Prop Pistols at NYC Show

A large stage prop collapsed onto Marilyn Manson during a performance on Manhattan's west side on Saturday night, videos from witnesses show. 

Marilyn Manson's representative confirmed to the AP that the singer was injured in a mishap on stage and taken to a hospital.

Manson was doing a concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom as part of his Heaven Upside Down tour at the time. 

Witnesses said he was performing a cover of the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" about an hour into the show when he was injured. 

The videos appear to show Manson grabbing or climbing a prop featuring two large pistols on stage. Manson falls backward and the prop topples onto him. He can be seen trying to shield himself with his hands as the prop collapses. 

Police and fire officials couldn't immediately confirm the musician or anyone else was hurt, but a label rep told Rolling Stone magazine that Manson suffered an injury to his leg and was being treated at a hospital. 

The concert was canceled a short time later, according to Rolling Stone. 

"The Dope Show" singer issued a statement Sunday that said his Oct. 2-14 shows will be rescheduled. Shows in these cities are affected: Boston; Huntington, New York; Toronto; Camden, New Jersey; Columbus, Ohio; Chicago; Milwaukee; Kansas City, Missouri; and Houston.
