Notch Brewing to Open Second Taproom and Brewery in Brighton

Salem-based Notch Brewing will be the anchor tenant of the Charles River Speedway

A Massachusetts brewing company will be opening its second taproom and brewery in Brighton.

Salem-based Notch Brewing will be the anchor tenant of the Charles River Speedway in the summer of 2020.

The new location will have seating for about 200 patrons indoors and double that amount outside, according to The Boston Globe.

Brewery founder Chris Lohring told the paper the company plans to feature many of the same beers as the Salem location like their tradition German and Czech brews. There will not be a kitchen, however, at the Brighton location.

The Charles River Speedway complex is a collaborative effort by the Architectural Heritage Foundation the Department of Conservation and Recreation to rehabilitate the old racetrack that once stood on Western Avenue.
