A Norwell, Massachusets man was arrested and charged with raping a child.
According to police, Derek G. Sheehan, 48, of Norwell was arrested Wednesday after an investigation conducted by Norwell and Massachusetts State Police.
Sheehan was held without bail at the Plymouth House of Correction until his dangerousness hearing in Hingham District Court Monday.
He faces charges including three counts of aggravated rape of a child, three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age and four counts of possessing child pornography.
