A Massachusetts man has been sentenced in federal court for possession of child pornography.

Bryan Larson, 46, of Douglas, was sentenced Friday in federal court in Worcester to 11 years in prison and five years of supervised release.

Larson, a level 2 sex offender, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in November 2017.

According to the U.S. attorney’s office, a search of Larson’s home in June 2015 resulted in the recovery of thousands of images of child pornography on his computer. The images and videos primarily depicted girls aged 4 to 8 engaged in sexual acts with adult men, according to authorities.

During the initial search of his home, Larson fled but turned himself into police a couple days later, according to The Telegram.

Many of the victims in the images and videos submitted impact statements for the court to consider at Larson's sentencing.

Authorities said he was previously convicted of three counts of rape of a child in 1995.
