Tuesday features bright sunshine and seasonable temperatures as an area of high pressure noses into New England. Gusty winds continue in response to a strong pressure gradient across the region.
Snow showers and cloudy skies will remain across the mountains into the afternoon. High temperatures reach into the mid-50s to near 60 degrees south, mid to upper 40s across interior New England and the mid-30s to 40 degrees across the North Country.
Monday’s rains and resulting snowmelt has allowed various flood warnings to remain in effect for the Connecticut River, the Winooski River in Vermont and the Kennebec River in Maine.
High pressure moves in Tuesday night, allowing winds to decrease and dry weather to continue. Expecting mostly clear skies with lows in the mid 30s south and mid to upper 20s to the north.
Dry and bright weather continues into Wednesday with highs cresting into the upper 50s to low 60s south and 40s to 50s across the north. Sea breezes will likely develop given the relatively light winds over land. Wet weather returns to New England Thursday as our next storm system approaches from the Great Lakes and Ohio River Valley.
Cloud cover increases throughout the day with the threat of rain showers developing across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. Expect high temperatures to reach into the 50s south, 40s north. Widespread wet weather develops into Friday as warm and moist air mass continues to overspread the region. High temperatures reach into the mid to upper 60s both Friday and Saturday.
Deep tropical flow entrenched overhead will result in renewed wet weather on Saturday as developing low pressure moves over New York State. High temperatures again crest into the mid to upper 60s.

The heaviest rain will likely fall Friday night into Saturday morning. Rain becomes more scattered in nature on Sunday as the area of low pressure moves north of the region into Quebec.
