Body-Cam Video Helps Clear Cop in Shooting

A Salt Lake City, Utah, police officer has been cleared in the shooting death of an unarmed man, a decision based on video from the officer's body camera, a Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said Tuesday. Dillon Taylor, 20, was shot to death by officer Bron Cruz on Aug. 11 after police received a report about three men who were seen near a 7-Eleven, possibly flashing a gun, reported NBC affiliate KSL. Taylor repeatedly ignored commands to show his hands and made a motion the officer believed looked like he was pulling a gun from his waistband, Gill said.
