Obama to Spotlight Climate Change’s Health Risks

Climate change a health hazard? That's what the White House plans to say Tuesday, with its report on rising temperatures and its announcement that tech giants Google and Microsoft plan to help combat its impact on our health. President Barack Obama is set to discuss the report — expected to highlight how climate change contributes to higher rates of asthma, allergies, weather injuries and food and water shortage effects — in an interview with NBC News' medical contributor Dr. Natalie Azar. He's also expected to speak Tuesday afternoon at Howard University Medical School, where he'll be joined by the surgeon general and the head of the EPA.
