Report: Sony Michel's Injury ‘Not Considered Serious'

Rookie running back Sony Michel went down in the first half of Sunday's Patriots game, but his injury might not be serious.

Michel lost a fumble in the first half of New England's victory over the Chicago Bears. He appeared to hurt his knee on the play and did not return to the field.

A source tells Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network and NFL.com that Michel underwent an MRI and his "knee injury is not considered serious."

Rapoport says Michel could miss time and the timetable for his return is not clear.

The 23-year-old has impressed since the Patriots used the 31st overall pick on him. He has started four of New England's seven games, tallying 422 yards and four touchdowns on 95 carries.
