The New England Patriots are adding a longtime rival to their wide receiver corps.
Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is joining the Patriots, the team has confirmed.
Thomas was selected to four Pro Bowls in his eight-and-a-half seasons with the Denver Broncos. He appeared in seven games for the Houston Texans after being traded there last season.

NFL insider Field Yates of ESPN initially reported that an agreement was in place. A source told Ian Rapoport of NFL.com that the Patriots are giving Thomas a 1-year deal worth as much as $6 million.
In his career, Thomas has made 688 catches on 1,128 targets for 9,330 yards and 62 touchdowns.
