New Hampshire State Police are investigating a suspected drowning after a 31-year-old man was found unconscious in the Ammonoosuc River.
Police received a call around 12:40 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible drowning.
An initial investigation reveals a family member found the man unconscious in the river, recovered him and then began performing CPR.
The man, who has not been identified, was ultimately pronounced dead.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
Foul play does not appear to be a factor in this incident but it remains under investigation.
