New Hampshire to Hold Meetings Across State on Mental Health

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services says it will conduct meetings across the state to get public input on a 10-year mental health plan.

The department's director Julianne Carbin said Thursday that the development of the plan has been underway since the beginning of the year. New Hampshire Public Radio reports a draft report of the plan is expected by mid-October.

Children's Behavioral Health Collaborative Coordinator Rebecca Whitley says the last 10-year plan issued in 2008 didn't address children, something that she feels should change with this plan.

Carbin says the draft plan will be published in time for a final public meeting in Concord in October.
