NH to Cut Ribbon on Water System Improvement Project

New Hampshire officials say they are ready to cut the ribbon on a project designed to improve a water system in Merrimack.

The New Hampshire Drinking Water and Groundwater Advisory Commission and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services are holding a ribbon cutting on the project on Monday. The ceremony will recognize the Pennichuck Merrimack River Interconnection Project.

The state says the project will connect the Pennichuck Water Works system in Merrimack by using an under-river crossing to the Pennichuck East Utility system in Litchfield. It says the project was funded via the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund.

The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. off of Mast Road in Merrimack.
