Officer and Cat Injured as Winthrop House Goes Up in Flames

A house went up in flames Wednesday night in Winthrop, Massachusetts.

Police say the 2-alarm fire started around 9 p.m. on Pauline Street. A police officer and a cat were hurt. The officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

People were asked to avoid the area.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
