Crews in Boston responded to a construction accident Wednesday in which two workers fell from a structure being built for Harvard University in Boston's Allston neighborhood.
Boston Fire said a report came in around 2:15 p.m. that the workers had fallen approximately 40-feet from the fifth floor to the third floor of a building under construction at 140 Western Ave. Police also responded to the scene.
Turner Construction Company said the workers were on a temporary stair scaffolding when they fell while working on the new Harvard Science and Engineering Complex, which is scheduled to open in 2020.
Concerned about possible neck and back injuries, Boston Fire called the Tech Rescue team and they used a bucket truck, ladders, and backboards to bring the injured workers to the ground and then to the hospital.
