Ukraine's Interim President: I Run Armed Forces

Acting Ukrainian President Oleksander Turchinov has taken on the role of head of the armed forces. Turchinov's move was announced in a decree published on the presidential website Wednesday, Reuters reported. Parliament assigned Turchinov presidential powers on Sunday, assuming the role of Vitkor Yanukovych who was ousted as president last week. Yanukovych has been accused of "mass killing of civilians" and the parliament on Tuesday voted to send him to be tried by the International Criminal Court. Yanukovych's whereabouts remain unknown. Elections are set for May 25.
