The start of the fall semester is always chaotic, but add in an unexpected month-long shutdown of the MBTA’s second-busiest subway route, and several colleges are left scrambling to figure out how to get students and staff to campus.
The closure will run from Aug. 19 to Sept. 18, spanning the first couple weeks of the semester at nearby colleges.
