Patriots Trade Michael Bennett to Cowboys for Draft Pick: Report

The 2013 Super Bowl winner had recorded 2.5 sacks in six games for the Patriots this season

After serving a suspension, New England Patriots defensive end Michael Bennett has been traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a draft pick, according to two ESPN reporters.

Bennett is being traded for a 7th round pick that could become a 2021 pick, according to the sources who spoke to Adam Schefter and Jordan Schultz.

The 2013 Super Bowl winner had recorded 2.5 sacks in six games for the Patriots this season.

Bennett was suspended this month over conduct detrimental to the team, after a disagreement with a coach over how he was being used by the team.

He'd been getting fewer snaps throughout the season, playing just 11 in the win over the New York Giants ahead of his suspension.

His reported trade to the Cowboys allows him a chance to sack Tom Brady when the team comes to Foxboro Nov. 24.
