Gas Station Employee Hit By SUV at Weymouth Mobil

Mobil employee taken to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries

A Massachusetts gas station employee was hit by an SUV and seriously injured Monday night in Weymouth.

The call came in around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck at the Mobil on Main Street, and there was a large police presence at the gas station for several hours Monday night.

The Mobil employee who was struck was taken to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries, and the driver stayed on scene following the collision, police say.

The store manager tells necn and NBC10 Boston that the victim is the same man who was pistol whipped during a robbery at the same gas station in January.

The manager, who said he was going to the hospital to visit the employee, also told necn and NBC10 Boston that the man is in a coma.

Authorities have not released an official update on the victim's condition.

A black SUV was towed from the scene late Monday night, and police were seen interviewing a woman inside the gas station, though it's unclear what her connection to the crash is.

There's no word on whether or not any charges will be filed.
