Pit Bulls Jump Through Window, Attack Woman and Dog

A Marlborough, Massachusetts woman and her dog were attacked by three pit bulls Saturday morning.

"I've lived in this neighborhood all my life. This is the first time we've ever had anything like this occur," Allan White said.

Marlborough Police responded to 54 Berlin Road after receiving a call around 9 a.m.

The victim was walking her German Shepherd when the three pit bulls charged. The dogs broke through a home's window screen and bit the woman and her dog repeatedly.

"They came through that screen like a torpedo comes out of a ship," White said.

The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while her German Shepherd has several bite marks, but is expected to survive.

"They were on a mission alright— a devastating mission," White said. "She's lucky to be alive."

White lives nearby and knows the victim.

"Those animals really don't belong in this neighborhood," he said.

The three pit bulls are quarantined at this time and undergoing tests for rabies. NBC10 spotted a dog barking near the busted window screen, but it's unclear if that dog was involved in the attack.

"These dogs need to be restrained, and now that they've indulged in this kind of practice, they need to be put down," White said.

No charges have been filed. The incident remains under investigation.
